What does WalkList include?

WalkList includes unlimited tasks, structured Yes/No audits, PDF export, Hotel Mode, Project Mode, and Send to WalkList. It's a one-time purchase of CA$19.99 / US$14.99 through the Apple App Store. No subscription.

What is Hotel Mode?

Hotel Mode adds a room number field to every task you capture. It's built for hotels and properties where organizing by room matters. Tasks can then be filtered and searched by room number on the Tasks screen. Toggle Hotel Mode on in Settings.

What is Project Mode?

Project Mode works like Hotel Mode but labels the field as a project name instead of a room number. It's designed for contractors and project managers who need to group issues by job or phase. Toggle Project Mode on in Settings.

What is Send to WalkList?

Send to WalkList lets you export a filtered list of tasks, tags, and photos as a .walklist file and share it with another user or device.

How to send:

On the Tasks screen, set the filters and sorting you want.
Tap Send to WalkList at the top.
Choose how to share using Apple Share (text, email, AirDrop, etc.).

How to import:

On the receiving device, open the shared .walklist file and tap Share.
Select WalkList to import.

What happens on import:

Photos, tasks, and details import automatically.
No duplicates are imported.
Missing Locations and Responsibility tags are added to the recipient's Settings.

Note: The receiving user must have a purchased copy of WalkList to import .walklist files.

How do annotations work?

After taking a photo, tap anywhere on the image to draw a red circle around the problem area. Add as many circles as you need. They are saved with the task and appear in PDF exports and the full-screen photo viewer.

What are Location and Responsibility tags?

Location tags (e.g. Lobby, Kitchen, Room 204) and Responsibility tags (e.g. Electrician, Plumber, Management) let you organize and filter your tasks. You can add new tags on the fly from the Add Details screen by tapping the + button next to the chip row — no need to go to Settings first. Any tag added this way appears in Settings automatically.

How do I export a PDF report?

WalkList users can export PDF reports. On the Tasks screen, apply the filters you want, then tap the PDF button in the top right. From there you can share via Messages, email, or any app on your device.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your device only. We have no cloud, no servers, and no access to your content. If you delete the app or lose your phone, your data is gone. Export regularly.

What happens if I lose or change my phone?

Because WalkList stores everything locally, your data does not transfer automatically when you switch devices. There is no cloud backup or account sync. To keep your records safe, export PDF reports regularly and save them somewhere accessible like email, Files, or a cloud drive. WalkList users can also use Send to WalkList to transfer all tasks and photos to a new device directly.

How do I move my data to a new device?

WalkList users can transfer data using Send to WalkList. On the Tasks screen, remove all filters so all tasks are included, then tap Send to WalkList and share the file to your new device via AirDrop, email, or any other method. Open the .walklist file on the new device and import it into WalkList. Photos, tasks, and details carry over automatically.

How do I request a refund?

Does WalkList collect my data?

No. WalkList collects zero personal data. No account, no login, no tracking. Everything stays on your device.
